Brake Lines

ATV Brake Lines are an essential component of your quad bike or UTV. Without them, your SXS machine would not be able to stop properly. It is important to understand how to properly maintain these brake lines, banjo bolts, brake pads and master cylinders and when to replace them if necessary. The brake lines on your Honda, Yamaha, Suzuki, Kawasaki, Polaris or Can-Am are responsible for delivering the brake fluid from the master cylinder to the hydraulic brake calipers. This fluid delivered from the brake lever on the handlebars causes your high-performance YFZ450 or Raptor to stop when rider input is recognised. Streamline brake hose lines are a great upgrade from the OEM front and rear brake lines with added abrasion resistance, limited expansion and better heat management.

Over time, the brake lines can become corroded or damaged due to exposure to the elements. Look for cracks, leaks, or other signs of wear and tear. If you notice any issues, it’s best to replace the brake lines. Front braided brake lines will often run to the hub or similar area on the wheel fitment. Stainless steel braided hydraulic lines are usually placed along the swingarm to run to the rear wheel brake system on the dirt bike or utility vehicle.
